NC-ACCEPT

The NC ACCEPT Project

Project Description
NC ACCEPT is a joint initiative of the state’s four academic departments of psychiatry: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, East Carolina, Duke, and Wake Forest Universities partnered in 2011 in an effort to change prescribing trends to improve psychiatric care and to set a climate for better cost-effective prescribing around the state.

This partnership, The North Carolina Academic Consortium for Cost Effective Psychopharmacologic Treatment (NC ACCEPT), leveraged education campaigns to change prescribing trends for specific diagnoses, among them sleep disorders, depression, and treatment-resistant depression and was funded by NC Community Care.

The NC EBP Center assisted  NC ACCEPT in coordinating events, designing training materials, and developing this website.
